History:
The suburb of Kewdale is located within the City of Belmont and interestingly enough, this suburb is named after Kew Street, one of the first roads in the district. It is most likely named after Kew in Melbourne. The name has been in use as a suburb name since at least 1949.

Amenities:
A major drawcard of Kewdale is it’s easy care lifestyle . Visit Tomato Lake on any given day and you will find a hive of activity, be it family picnics, the avid runners, or the coffee catch up groups. Being only 10kms to the CBD and the Belmont Forum is seemingly the icing on the cake to this well established suburb.

Schools:
The suburb is home to the following schools Australian Islamic College, Acton Avenue Pre-School Centre, Kewdale P.S., Kewdale S.H.S. and Belmont College (High School).

Growth:
It has been known to have positive growth rate and is popular with developers and investors. There are many newer homes being built in the area and there are still many older homes on larger blocks that have the potential to be developed to make a profit.
